Recently , Mukesh Ambani , the country's richest man announced that jio will be launching the cheapest 4g VoLTE phone ever . He stated jio phone as 'India ka Smarphone ' and said that it will be effectively free ( though technically , not practically ) . The launch of jio phone is certainly a revolutionary move in the smartphone industry , and here's everything you need to know about it .

The Jio phone will be available for free but the buyer will have to deposit Rs. 1500 which will be refunded after 3 years when he returns the phone . It will have dual sim functionality . It will support all the jio apps and will also have an voice based assistant to do basic stuffs such as calling or messaging someone . 
It will support 24 different languages . It will also have support for NFC which can be used to make payments  . Users will also be able to run whatsapp on it . Along with this , one can connect it to TV to view content and videos , via a proprietary cable.

For using the jio phone , users will have to recharge their jio sims with Rs . 153 per month to avail unlimited calling and 500 mb of data per day for a month .Users can also go for another recharge of Rs. 309 which will allow users to connect their phone with the TV and watch 3-4 hours of live streaming everyday .
